This paper deals with a new term in the modern French – “heterolinguality”, created in the framework of the Linguistic European Common Area and in the larger one of Globalization. In our opinion, it is a neologism of socio-stylistic origin, reporting at the moment by its “pensée créatrice” the passage of the term ”bilingualism” in the term “heterolinguality”.
