Abstract:The paper is treating of the problematics of literary translation in relation to literary interpretation. In our eyes, literary translation is the best point of view on literary creation because it is the most profound study of how language is producing authentical literature. We try to undestand how a great Romanian writer, Cezar Petrescu, intends and succeeds to translate a novel from Balzac into Romanian. This experience is very interesting because he is also a pasionate translator.
