| Abstract: | The article treats of self-traslation, a phenomenon less studied in translation theory and less regarded in practice. Starting from her own experience as a triluignal person, the author gives a definition of selftranslation and analyses the essence of the phenomenon in itself, as well as a result of re-readings of the original text. The conclusion is that this is a semiotic process par excellence and it defends of the writer’s bilingualism, which allows the creation/translation in two directions: language A - language B and language B – language A. |
