| Abstract: | he aim of this article is to show the relevance of studying self-translation as a means to obtaining new data within the field of Translation Studies, in particular Literary Translation. Based on case studies, it describes the methodology used to obtain data in answer to the question “Do author-translators in fact translate in the same way as other translators?” A brief summary is given of the main conclusions drawn and the way in which, according to our study, self-translation provides researchers with observable phenomena, thereby recommending itself as a privileged approach to research in our field of studies. |
