| Abstract: | Jorge Semprun's book Federico Sanchez vous salue bien - written in French before it was published in Spain in 1993 - in which he relates his experience as Spain's Minister of Culture from 1988 and 1991, is the only work which the author translated himself. Comparing the two versions sheds light on the author's writing project, the distance taken from his own experience through the use of the French language is materially visible, the author-translator questions, through this bilingual writing, the meaning of his writing and his work. |
