| Abstract: | With the help of examples taken from conversational corpora, which illustrate the translation strategies developed by two translators who translate from French into German and from French into Italian without haven had a real training as translators, the author explains their errors by appealing to the results of cognitivistic research and shows the necessity of integrating hermeneutics into the training of translators. |
