Abstract: | The most dangerous trap set by Cioran to his Francophone translators is the teleology: to translate his Romanian works in a French language similar to the French which he used write himself. The “corrupted” style of Cioran situated between Romanian vigour and French sobriety and the authority of prose writer in French that Cioran is influences the translation of his Romanian texts that dangerously seem like an anachronical pastiche. The translator shouldn’ t lend a trusting ear to the author so often. |
