| Abstract: | The semantic field of quantity can be approached both in terms of morphology and syntax. The present study aims to analyse the quantitative constructions in terms of figures of speech, through examples taken from the written press. The diversity of meanings that the quantitative structures develop, explains a complex semantic field, the figures of speech having the role to make the discourse efficient and generate a series of semantic interpretations meant to refine the communicative act. |
