| Abstract: | [Romanian geolinguistics in multimedia format: the Audio-Visual Linguistic Atlas of Bukovina (ALAB)] The present article proposes a brief presentation of the latest project of the Romanian geolinguistics: the Audio-Visual Linguistic Atlas of Bukovina (ALAB). One of the most important features of the project is its pluridimensional character which derives from a multiple interrogation of linguistic diversity at diatopic, diastratic, diamesic and even diachronic levels. The sociolinguistic dimension of the atlas is reinforced by the surveys conducted in the minority communities living in Bukovina (Poles, Ukrainians, Lipovans and Hutsuls) to observe their linguistic vitality and loyality. Finally, by its multimedia format ALAB can be considered a virtual museum of minority and majority idioms from Bukovina. |
