Abstract: | Hypertext is a basic computer program which allows the user to move freely and multi-directionally within an electronic text. In recent decades, the term began to be used also in the literary field as an essentially postmodern writing style, which gives the reader more freedom in relation to the literary text. In the U.S., this concept has been studied and applied in many recent books, both electronic and paper. But in Romania, hypertext theories are almost unknown. Ion Manolescu is the first Romanian theoretician who studied them. Moreover, in 2006, he published a novel, Derapaj (Skid), built on a hypertext structure. |
