[Greek-Latin Influences into the Names of the Annotators in the Budai-Deleanuʼs Work Țiganiada]
Ioan Budai-Deleanu is the first great Romanian writer to be inspired by the school of classical values. Long before Mihai Eminescu, the Transylvanian poet fructifies the Greek-Latin fundamental works. The fact is visible both in supratext, where the text is visibly influenced by Latin language and in infratext, where the names of the commentators are of Greek-Latin origin. The analysis of Budai-Deleanuʼs onomastics reveals the overwhelming influence of the classical culture in which the Romanian poet was educated. When classifying the names of the annotators of the Romanian epic we discover that a great amount of denominations are of Greek origin: Androfilos, Agnosios, Alazonios, Apistos, Apologios, Dysidemonesculus, Evlaviosus, Filologos, Micromegas, Musophilos, or Onochefalos while only a few are Latin: Dubitantius, Eruditian, Idiotean.
Ioan Budai-Deleanu este primul mare scriitor român adăpat la școala valorilor clasice. Cu mult timp înaintea lui Mihai Eminescu, poetul ardelean valorifică operele fundamentale greco-latine. Faptul este vizibil atât în supratext, unde textul este influențat vizibil de limba latină cât și în infratext, unde numele comentatorilor subsidiari sunt de sorginte greco-latină. Analiza onomasticii budaidelene relevă înrâurirea covârșitoare a culturii clasice în care s-a format poetul cigmăuan. Între înrâurirea greacă și cea latină putem conchide că influența elenă este predominantă în denumirile diverșilor comentatori sub-textuali: Androfilos, Agnosie, Alazonios, Apistos, Apologhios, Disidemonescul, Evlaviosu, Filologos, Micromegas, Musofilos, ori Onochefalos sunt nume grecești, în vreme ce doar câteva (Dubitanțius, Erudițian, Idiotiseanul) sunt latinești.
