The article describes some of the contemporary readings of two literary diaries written and published during exile by Romanian writers Monica Lovinescu and Virgil Ierunca, focusing on the most appealing features of these texts and their literary value. The author underlines the set of features that individualize these writings, arguing that, among other elements, there is an obvious process of morphing autobiography and factual history into fiction, as the writers’ subjectivity rules over wide portions of the texts.
Articolul descrie câteva dintre lecturile contemporane a două jurnale literare scrise şi publicate în exil de către scriitorii români Monica Lovinescu şi Virgil Ierunca, punând accent asupra celor mai interesante aspecte ale acestor texte şi a valorii lor literare. Autorul subliniază o serie de caracteristici care particularizează aceste scrieri, susţinând, printre altele, că există un clar proces de îmbinare a elementelor autobiografice şi faptelor de istorie cu ficţiunea, de vreme ce subiectivismul scriitorilor este resimţit adesea în scrierile lor.
