Abstract:The process of legal translation implies, on the part of the translator, an interdisciplinary (legal and lingustic) comparative-contrastive approach of the legal and cultural contexts brought into contact. The present paper aims at analysing a series of lexical units and of the related legal concepts in Romanian and Italian by discussing the meanings specific to the legal vocabulary of each of the two languages involved.
