Abstract: | The article assumes that both the release title and the whole overtitle + title + subtitle + inter-titles, can function as minimal, autonomus texts, which gives the reader essential information contained in the body of the article. The analytical approach, applied to a corpus composed of titles from newspapers like Adevărul and Le Monde, is of semiotic type and aims to illustrate the relevance of some models like semiotic square, the actantial model or the canonical narrative scheme of narration in structuring of press titles. The conclusion of the article is that the update of these models in press release titles highlights a very well structured writing, result of an elaborate process and not a simple game of hazard or a subjective choice. |
