Abstract:The Book of Revelation insists more to the theology and the christology. But, at a more profound analysis, come the items of ecclesiology in relationship with God and Christ. A very used image in Revelation is the image of the people of God. They pilgrim in the history and they will arrive in the new eschatological Jerusalem. In this city they will live for ever in front of the throne of God and the Lamb. A typical note of this description by John of Patmos is that the community of the old covenant (The Old Testament) is reunited with the multitude of languages, peoples and nations implied by the new covenant (The New Testament). Thus, the peoples of God, both pre-messianic and messianic, are considered as one.
