Abstract: | The issue of the differences between the teaching proposed by a native versus the one proposed by a non-native requires an analysis of many parameters in order to fit the variety of teaching situations encountered in a foreign country. How can the situation of unilingual communication become a sort of impulse to the study of a language / of French? It is convenient to distinguish between the two types of teachers mentioned above, even though their goals may sometimes converge, as they convey, each one of them in their unique way, a certain number of linguistic and socio-cutural aspects. First, we should consider the definition of the nature of the non- native /vs/ native teacher, and then we will be able to illustrate the respective situations using our own experiences of French teachers in a foreign country, and show how our position of natives constitutes an advantage in the game and intercultural domain. |
