Abstract:This paper contains images created by Wolf von Aichelburg in order to emphasize his idea of “holy world.” His philosophical vision on death is shaped by his conviction that death is a continuation of life. The paper focuses on several of Aichelburg’s poems which reflect this belief and interprets the occurrence of certain elements in his poetry just to reveal Aichelburg’s perspective upon death. To Aichelburg, all images are pathways to meditation on life, past and future. The present is language, expression which becomes poetry and illuminates past and future.
