| Abstract: | The study named The identity crisis in the Romanian detention spaces. The confession of the priest-writers consists in a critical point of view regarding the various types of the identity crisis (such as: psychological, biological, religious and ontological) revealed by the diaries and the memoirs published after 1990 by the most representative priests-writers who were incarcerated during the Romanian communist regime. Even though they have experimented the worst prison conditions (including different forms of physical and psychological torture), they were able to survive, thanks to their strong belief in God and the responsibility towards the otherness or to a special form of prison literature, the oral “poem-prayer”. |
