| Abstract: | In syntactic phonetics (external sandhi), at the juncture of words, especially in the classical verse based on the fixed measure and poetic or/and musical rhythms, there can appear both the same diphtongs, triphtongs, semivowels and syllables inside whithin the words, and some others, non-existent in words, when considered isolated. Taking into consideration some Romanian poetic works, we have identified, in sandhi, 13 new diphtongs, 22 new triphtongs, 3 new semivowels (aª, ăª and îª) and new kinds of syllables, inside the words unknown, as yet. Other such phonetic units may be recorded in various texts. These units show that Speech has its peculiar phonetic features, vis-à-vis de Language. |
