Abstract:Our research refers to the practicality of the socio-cultural theories on the foreign languages instruction that pursue the need to develop thinking, knowledge transfer, socio-cultural adaptation following the globalization process. We make reference to the pedagogical impact of Vytkosky’s theories on the social and cultural nature of language instruction and underline its relationship to the development of thinking and social behaviour. We also make reference to the impact of Michail Bakhtin vision on the social nature of language to the objectives and practices in language teaching. Our article insights the effects of the two language philosophies on the extension of proximity zone of assisted learning to the level of language education for adults.
