| Abstract: | In the present paper we intend to analyse and illustrate the stylistic value of the phraseological expressions, their metaphorical connotation, focusing on the implicit expressive nature of some phraseological units as illustrated in different extracts from literary works. My attempt is to give a short account of some examples of stylistical analysis of phraseological units that show an impressive potential of variants which enable us to render the stylistical value of different concepts in a more refined, precise and colourful way. The examples proposed here come from some representative literary works that bulk with expressive idioms and phraseological units helping us better illustrate the stylistical value of each of them. |
