Abstract: | Comparison is one of the most frequent linguistic and artistic methods based on two similar facts. In this article we shall focus upon the global comparison which has in view the complete confrontation of the qualities and the behaviors of the two extreme component parts of this method: the reference term and the compared one. The purpose of our analysis is to identify some specific features which let us express both the global comparison of identity and their semantic, morphological and syntactical characteristics. In order to fulfill our analysis, we have chosen a number of proverbs, enunciations in which the comparison is more frequent than other figures of speech like the hyperbole or personification. |
