| Abstract: | In this paper, I intend to present Eugeniu Coşeriu’s conception about the integral linguistics, in synchrony-diachrony, without claim of completeness in an integrative perspective, in order to (re-)evaluate the role played by the Romanian linguist in the foundation of this science. In my approach, I will try to apply Eugeniu Coşeriu epistemological principles: objectivity, humanism, tradition etc., to distinguish how he used the theories lanced by his predecessors, especially by Ferdinand de Saussure, in order to develop his own original theory. The achievement of this study would facilitate the publication of the monographic work Eugeniu Coşeriu. Language, Idiomatic Tradition and Text Theorist (Concepts. Taxonomies. Impact. Perspectives), knowing that the linguist imposed the paradigm of integral linguistics internationally – designational linguistics, significational linguistics, linguistics of sense, aiming to study the language as a multiform phenomenon. Since Eugeniu Coşeriu is known more on the international level, this monograph would facilitate the recovery of his thinking on the national level, too. |
