Abstract: | [Brand names in Albanian] After the major political changes of 1990, names of brands spread widely in various sectors of product groups in Albania. They represent an interesting area in the field of language analysis, which is worth being explored by Albanian scholars. In this paper the analysis will be carried out on a considerable body of lexemic units related to the food sector. The survey of Albanian brand names with focus on their morphological, lexical and semantic features will highlight the main characteristics those names have in the Albanian language and their level of creativity. |
