| Abstract: | [Erika has almond eyes: Integration through names] The paper presents the results of a study conducted on names of students of foreign origin who attend primary school in two Piedmont provinces (Turin and Cuneo). The different onomastic strategies adopted by the main immigrant communities oscillate between the desire to keep track of their own history through their names and the attempt to reach full integration through the adoption of the recipient country’s onomastic system. |
