Abstract: | [Toponymy and chromatics] Within chromatic terminology, toponyms are elements associated with nuances. Country and city names are the places where pigments were discovered, where dyes were made and so on. They accompany the term expressing a colour, being a chromatic differentiation index. It is difficult to define such terms, even in specialised dictionaries. Toponyms became internationally used at the same time as chromatic terminology. |
