Abstract: | In the present article we have attempted to illustrate the sources of Paul Goma's identity starting from the defining elements of his personality: name, affiliation, language, reference space, and contact to alterity. On account of his autobiographical novels, we could reconstruct the childhood of the Bessarabia writer, his outlook on life in the context of his refuge. Romanian exile already has a history of its own, especially after 1945, that rises particular interest not only due to the complexity of its defining matters, but also because of the relatively recent timeframe it belongs to. |
