| Abstract: | As a new transnational public sphere within a migration context, Internet appears as a space of collective action for international migrants. This paper explores how ICTs encourage the migrants’ participation of migrants, increase their visibility in the public space and facilitate their lobby. On the one hand it shows that Internet offers a space for democratic expression for minorities of migrants; on the other hand, platforms of online communication enable collective mobilization. Thus, Internet contributes to the raise of a new participatory model and generates a new balance of power within a transnational public sphere. |
