Abstract:My contribution is meant to individualize the securizing referentials in the heart of modern novels, both in substance and writing, with an analysis of Florence Noiville's “L'attachement” (Stock, 2013) and Marta Petreu's “Notre maison dans la plaine de l'Armageddon” (L'Âge d'homme, march 2014). With inversed symmetries, these two novels written by two intellectual women a priori quite different become very near each other about the relationships between mother and daughter, about how to rebuild the “psychical body” of a dead woman and therefore the truth itself (“I'm writing in order to explain myself better” says Florence Noiville as does Marta Petreu too). This comparison is justified by a referentiality which is in both cases securizing and based on cultural and societal datas.
Key words:contemporary novel, comparatism, securizing referential, literary european proximities, octagonal theory
