[Trajectory of adverbial “maintenant” or the dualism of a morphological category.] The present paper is trying to demonstrate the complexity of the adverb “maintenant”, by proposing a clear distinction among its incidences. Moreover, we believe that the importance of this phenomenon comes from a certain degree of inconstancy, from its ability to reach a possible development. Therefore, our attempt is to go beyond the grammatical landscape that makes of “maintenant” a predictable temporal constituent, towards an argumentantive use, when seen as a discourse element. This change of framework observed in interviews allows us to formulate the hypothesis that, by exceeding its primary common interpretation, “maintenant” becomes a two-direction marker.
[Traiectoria adverbului „maintenant” sau dualismul unei categorii gramaticale.] Prezentul articol își propune să demonstreze complexitatea adverbului „maintenant”, prin încercarea de a delimita câteva distincții, pe care le dorim pertinente, între utilizări. Mai mult decât atât, considerăm că un factor major în determinarea importanței acestuia îl reprezintă capacitatea de adaptare la contexte care nu îi sunt prestabilite, sau la situații pe care natura sa strict gramaticală nu le cunoaște. Prin urmare, dorim, în primă instanță, să surprindem această tranziție prin raportarea concretă la întrebuințări temporale, urmărind, ulterior, o schimbare de cadru, mai precis o redirecționare de tip discursiv, unde o forță nouă, argumentativă, este exploatată cu precădere în interviuri.
