Abstract:[Constantin Micu Stavila: Is There a Conflict between Individual and Society?] Starting from the high valuation and the cooperation of Hans-Georg Gadamer, Gabriel Marcel, Paul Ricoeur, Jean Wahl, Pierre Emmanuel, Ion Petrovici, Dimitrie Gusti, Horia Vintilă, Octavian Vuia and Mircea Eliade, on the one hand, and Constantin Micu Stavila, on the other hand, we have been tried to develop a piece of research on the philosophical work and the life of the latest thinker herein mentioned. We aim to articulate a possible response around the question about the conflict between individual and society, according to the Romanian-French philosopher. Once the origin of such a situation detected, it could reveal us the reality or the falsehood of a radical breaking off between human being and the world, generally. By identifying the causes and conditions that promoted both the appearance and the relatedness between them, also by analysing the relation between the elite man and the mass man, as well the vices of the “impersonalist” metaphysical theories, we can bring out a plus of clarity in tackling with various relationships occured among the individual, inner self, fellow creatures and God. Eventually, we reach the idea of living in harmony, with dignity and humanness, according to the “testament” of Constantin Micu Stavila.
