Abstract:[The Imaginary Space from the Complex Systems Perspective] In this paper, we consider a transdisciplinary approach to imaginary from a psychological-physical-mathematical perspective. More precisely, we envisage the imaginary, the imagination, and the reality of the mental life in general, from a broad interdisciplinary point of view, where the artistic and the religious perspectives find their place along with the philosophical vision, and with the information that the science has brought up in the last decades, especially from the physics and mathematics theories. Moreover, we support the idea that the imaginary space is not just a metaphor, but a physical space, in the holospace or n-dimensional space, which could be described by concepts and scientific theories and thus it could be illustrated by a physical-mathematical model. Our paper integrates into a recent trend in the field of epistemology, namely, the need for interdisciplinary and even transdisciplinary approaches. Both the complexity theory and the complex systems theory involve new concepts related to fractal geometry, chaos, topology, nonlinear dynamics and non-differentiability. An integration of these theories to the ancient visions of religion, philosophy and even to those of philology leads to new, interesting, and daring hypotheses.
