| Abstract: | [Dumitru Radu Popa’s Skenzemon! or on the Aesthetics of the Intertext] In his book published in 2005 at “Curtea veche” Publishing House, in which the writer gathers all his new texts in their uncensored version – some of them, or the ones trespassing the limits between different types of discourse – Dumitru Radu Popa naturally and skillfully follows the footsteps of some canonical writers inter-, para- and metatextually reloaded. His writing plays an authentic role involving poietical elements specific to model texts by the use of strategies assumed in text-oriented theories and literary discourse relating to narratology. Meanwhile, Skenzemon!’ textual particularities lie in the problematic relation between fiction and diction, which generates a fascinating text rooted in the postmodern re- writing drive. This fact calls for joining, in the reading process, the postmodern-oriented theories and the palimpsestic dimension of the text itself. |
