| Abstract: | [Vasile Lovinescu – Literary and Cultural Revival] In considering Vasile Lovinescu, we must take into account three dimensions: the biographical, from a family perspective (the critic E. Lovinescu, his uncle, the playright Horia Lovinescu, his brother), the cultural and the spiritual one. From a cultural point of view, Mircea Eliade, Eugène Ionesco, Emil Cioran represented his family, because of their ideas. Vasile Lovinescu too shapes universes of knowledge, but he conceptualizes his existential theory differently, by rediscovering myths and symbols. |
