| Abstract: | The author of this study was born in the Banat and grew up there in a multilingual surroundings. For decades he has been working at the Institut of Romanistik at the University of Vienna. In this study he documents the existing ethnic variety and diversity of languages in the western part of the Banat by using paradigma of different historical periodes of the Banat. He refers to the phonetic-phonological as well as to the lexical interferences within dialectology and within the standard language. |
