Abstract:
The present paper constitutes an analysis of the tensions displayed, on a power relations level, within the televised political debates, from a pragma-rhetorical perspective. Accordingly, the study follows certain cases of degradation of the power relations, from the partial non-compliance with the host’s status to the denial and even taking over of his control function.
