| Abstract: | The definition of the verb in traditional grammar as a class of words through which actions are expressed does not cover a significant number of lexical units which are non-action (they do not denote actions). They are mainly used as predicates or parts of them, playing a very important role in organizing semantic structure of the sentence. In this article the author emphasizes the idea that there should be found a way through which this ides could be represented in the definition of the verb. |
