| Abstract: | The model of Linguistic Imaginary aims to study speakers’ attitudes about the language they use in monolingual or multilingual situation. The objective is to describe a linguistic dynamics. Different attitudes might be described in terms of norms categorised as the subjective norms - communicative, fictive, and prescriptive. At the same time, objective norms - systemic and statistic - can also be revealed. The extension of the linguistic imaginary model since 30 years to other social objects described in term of semiology makes the notion of cultural imaginary appear. |
