Abstract:The article “When should we tell to a child that Santa Claus doesn’t exist or about belles-lettres” aims to become a ”pleading” for reading and for a necessary distinction between fiction and reality.
The teacher in school should explain to the child that there is a gap between true and verisimilitude in the art field. In the same time, also the adults have to prove their aesthetic knowledge regarding to distinction art vs. science.
We appeal to some quotations sustaining our point of view.
Key words:Santa Claus, reading, literature, education, verisimilitude, imagination, art
