| Abstract: | The article focuses upon a case in which the translator’s subjectivity is counteracted or mitigated by different inherent limitations, such as those imposed when translating drama. The author exposes the main factors of de-subjectivization, but also offers, in the second part of the article, a number of strategies which might bring back the lost subjectivity. |
