Abstract:The research of legitimation through the claim of affiliation at the Muslim religion can be translated, in most cases, by adhesion to references attached to the radical Islam. The translations admit or not this type of Islam, depending on the equivalences that they propose. The radicalization that accompanies the Muslim identity expression consists especially in this adhesion to some principles considered as pillars of religion and in public space visibility, due to the adoption of ostentatious clothing signs. It reaches to the rejection of the only affiliation to the francophone world in the favour of a total attachment to a mythical Arabic context where Arabic becomes a sacred language. The Islamic quest for identity is generally accompanied by rejection of other values, hence, by rejection of diversity.
Key words:radicalization, the Muslim identity, visibility, pillars of religion, Arabic context, francophone world
