| Abstract: | This article presents the various ways in which self-translation is conceived by different theorists and self-translators, claiming at the same time that self-translation is translation, though a sui generis variant of translation. It will then be explored the extent to which self-translation may play a role in overcoming the problem of liteariness versus literaliness in translation. |
