| Abstract: | Our article remarks the publication of Rania Halaby-Murr’s book La traduction au Liban entre 1840-1914 an excellent history of the translation in Lebanon and in Egypt (the main centers of translation in XIXth century Arabic world). Rania Halaby-Murr’s work also points out the stakes and the results of this large translation movement and the deep changes that it generated in culture, fully contributing, in this way, to the literary Arabic rebirth. |
