| Abstract: | The name « Burkina Faso » comes at the same time from the moore and the language dioula (« Burkina », results in « Fatherland of the just men » and « Faso » signifie « ground of our ancestors »). Formerly one called this « Haute-Volta country », in connection with the rivers which irrigate the territory. Burkina Faso counts an about sixty ethnos groups of unequal numerical importance, they always do not occupy precise geographical surfaces. The linguistic configuration emphasizes three languages in demographic weight. Moore is a language which forms part of the group of the Gur languages, the dioula forms part of the group of the language mandé, and the peul which forms part of the Atlantic Western group. The moore is a language with class and tone. The question of the translation is important in Burkina because the French cohabits with nearly sixty languages. The culture, the literature as of the these languages is often translated and transposed into French. What raises of course the questions of translation. From an example of translation of tales of the moore to French and the mooré oral one with the written moore we will try to examine the question of the translation such as she presents herself in these cases. We will try to show the elements which are related to the translation of a collection of tales of the moore to French. The translation of a language with another implies several parameters of which it is necessary to hold account for the translation of the tales. We will try to describe in this article the problems arising from this question of translation. |
