Abstract:[Phonetic Peculiarities in the Prefaces and Epilogues of XVIth Century Romanian Texts]
The language of the Romanian literary works from the 16th century was not a unitary one, but they had many variants. The Prefaces and the Epilogs of the Romanian prints from the 16th century offer important informations for the history of the old books and for the history of Romanian language. Placed at the end of some translations, they are influenced, somehow, from a syntactical and lexical points of view, by the language of the church books from the second half of the 16th century but, being especially original works, the Prefaces and the Epilogs are closer to the language spoken at that time then the translations they are connected to and this aspect improves their importance for the study of the Romanian language from the 16th century.
