| Abstract: | The term “liturgical text” generically stands for Christian liturgical texts, including liturgical books and also comments on Liturgy. Liturgical translation requires a good knowledge of the terminological field as liturgical terms relate to a quite heterogeneous class of objects: from liturgical objects to ritual acts and gestures. What would be the steps that need to be taken and the work “instruments” used in the translation of such texts? We will try to identify the main concept classes and subclasses in order to delimit the liturgical terms. This is an important stage not only in the compilation of terminological glossaries, but also in the translation of liturgical texts as it is necessary to find the equivalent of a term in the target language. |
