| Abstract: | Starting from a detailed research on suffix formations developed in the Romanian language after 1989, we noticed that the -ar suffix, of Latin origin, remains a very productive formant in common language areas and also in slang and familiar language, professions vocabulary etc., enhancing new meanings of old words in our language. |
