Abstract:
  • Toponymy is an important source for the research and knowledge of history, language and people. Names of towns reflect the most important moments in people’s material and spiritual life: occupations, customs, traditions, faith. Topical names evoke moods, facts, phenomena and processes specific to a language in formation and historical development.
