Abstract: | The paper begins with a short presentation of the society and history of the Republic of South Africa in order to better understand the attitude of writers who have never separated in their work the politics and history of the country from literature and aesthetics. The paper goes on to mention the names and works of the most representative writers of the period of transition (1970-1995) in poetry, theatre and prose, whose writings can often be considered manifestoes in the struggle of the South African people for equal rights and independence. |
