As nonfinite verbal form, the Romanian Gerund creates a wide range of stylistic devices, expressing actions in progress and thus making things, objects and persons more dynamic. The aim of this article is to present some expressive values of the Gerund as they occur in Romanian poetry and prose.
Ca formă verbală nefinită, gerunziul românesc generează o mare varietate de valori stilistice exprimând acţiuni în curs de desfăşurare, dinamizând astfel lucruri, obiecte, persoane. Articolul de faţă doreşte să prezinte câteva dintre valorile expresive ale gerunziului, aşa cum se reflectă acestea în poezia şi proza românescă.
